My favorite actor

My favorite actor is Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey was born in 1962. Jim Carrey acts better than any another actor. He is the best comedian actor I have ever seen.

I have his photo on my wall. I even have his signature on my photo. He started his comedy career when he was at about fifteen years.

When he was at about sixteen he began to perform at Yuk Yuk’s in Toronto. Some people hate him because he acts stupid but acting stupid is not easy. Jim has a daughter whose name is Jane.

He is the only actor who I admire. Jim looks like thirty five years old but in fact he is fifty one years old. Jim is the best actor.

The advantages and disadvantages of being popular

If you are a popular person all the people believe you have a wonderful life with no worries or problems. However, to my mind being famous has both advantages and disadvantages.

The greatest advantage is that celebrities are usually very rich and they have easier life than other people do. They live in beautiful enormous houses maintained by housekeepers, gardeners, cooks and many servants.

Secondly, being a celebrity brings them such privileges as not to pay in restaurants, travel a lot all around the world and they can also afford the best clothes and drive the latest models of fast and luxurious cars.

Furthermore, they spend their holidays in expensive resorts; get the best hotel rooms and the most efficient service. In addition, when a celebrity is sick, he/she has certainly a private doctor and the best medical treatment.

However, being famous involves a lot of disadvantages. For example, they can´t go to the same places that the ordinary people usually go to without having many 'paparazzi' behind them. They are like a public property and do not have privacy.

And finally, there is a major drawback: the more they get and succeed the more their fans expected them to achieve. Because this state of constant stress, many of them are pushed in alcoholism, drug-addiction and depression.

In conclusion, although it is true to say that famous people live a great life; I prefer to be an anonymous person because the benefits of being an ordinary person outweigh the disadvantages of being a rich and famous one.
